Mentor had the challenge of
- centralizing the management of over 3,000 standard products.
Results
At Mentor, PTC Windchill PDMLink for Catia V5 and PTC Creo were implemented company-wide for 5 locations. A central, company-wide and cross-location information platform was set up. As a result, product development runs more efficiently, processes were streamlined and capacities of half a person-year were created. In addition, lead times were reduced and errors in the product development process were minimized.
With the help of PTC Windchill, we are able to extend our technological market leadership and grow sustainably on a global scale, while ensuring cross-site information access and security. In addition, we were able to achieve savings of half a man-year in product design by using PTC Windchill.
